The Track Listings for songs on Promo Only cds are available in data files. Each file contains all of the data for each song, Title, Artist, Location, Length, Intro, BPM, etc... You can download the complete listing of all of the songs featured on Promo Only since June 1992 or you can download just the format you subscribe to. Both the current month's listings and the complete listings for that series are available. You can download it as a Tab-Delimited-Text document. This type of file can be opened with any spreadsheet program (such as Microsoft Excel or Works) and you can use that program to sort and organize the data the way you want to!

DIRECTIONS TO IMPORT FILES INTO A SPREADSHEET PROGRAM:

*We suggest that you open these TABTEXT files with a MicroSoft Excel or MicroSoft Works spreadsheet program.

*** YOU MUST OPEN THE FILES MANUALLY THROUGH THE APPLICATION!
(Don't DOUBLE-CLICK on the icon, DO THIS INSTEAD)
1. Launch Microsoft Excel (or your spreadsheet program)
2. Go to the FILE menu in the program and choose "Open.."
3. Use the pop-up menu to go to the location where you downloaded the TABTEXT FILE
4. Highlight the file name in the pop-up window and click the "Open" button.
5. The Excel program takes you through a 3 step "wizard."
• Choose the options for "delimited text"
• Select "continue" or "finish."
The info should appear in the spreadsheet cells.
(If you are using MICROSOFT WORKS you must specify to open the file as a spreadsheet. The program will go through similar steps.)

Once the data is in the spreadsheet it may be sorted by any column. Each ROW contains the information for one song.
To sort the information:
1. Select all the cells you wish to sort
2. Choose "Sort" under the "Data" menu.
3. Choose "No Header Row" and the column you want to sort by.
4. Specify Ascending or Decending order.
5. Multiple sorts may also be done in the same window.
You may want to save these file on a Disc or burn to a CD to keep a backup.
