Q:   What is the format for the HD video?
A:   The format of the HD video is in MP4 which is an industry standard for HD video, playable in a number of different video and DJ applications.
     
Q:   What is the resolution of the video?
A:   There are two versions available in Hits HD, 720p which is 1280x720. And 360p which is 640x360.
     
Q:   What is the data bitrate for the audio and video?
A:   The 720p video is at 6mbps (6 megabits per second) with the audio encoded at 320 kbps (320 kilobits per second). The 360p video is at 2mbps with the audio encoded at 320 kbps
     
Q:   What is the framerate for the HD video?
A:   All of our HD content is 24 frames per second.
     
Q:   What is the video encoded in?
A:   The video is encoded in mp4 format using H264 at 6mbps for 720p and 2 mbps for 360p.
     
Q.   What is the audio encoded in?
A.   The audio is encoded in AAC 320 kbps.
     
Q.   Are the video files in NTSC or PAL?
A.   NTSC or PAL formats no longer apply to HD video
     
Q.   What does the "P" mean in 720p or 360p?
A.   The "P" stands for progressive, which means that every frame (24 frames per second) in the video is a full frame and non-interlaced.
     
Q.   What does "interlaced" mean?
A.   Interlaced video has 2 fields for every frame of video. This is only used on older TVs and our SD content. Our HD is progressive meaning there are no fields, only whole frames.
     
Q.   Will these videos play in my DVD player?
A.   Since they are downloaded as digital files, they would have to be converted and authored into a DVD in order for them to be played in a DVD player.
